Campus Princess is an exclusive property of the Times of India group which searches and helps in enhancing prospective profiles for the Miss India Pageant by engaging with the student community. It is the source of fresh talent at the grass root level. The rationale behind this initiative is to establish a closely knit interface between the young college going aspirants and the fashion & lifestyle industry.
The winners of this event will get fast-tracked to the Miss India 2016 Pageant. The shortlisted participants will be walking the ramp as per the Miss India criteria. Miss India Organization would be gracing the occasion and judging the audition.

-o- The winners get direct entry to the final round of Miss India 2016 auditions in Mumbai.
-o- They also get a chance to be a part of the Exclusive Miss India Organization, 6 Day Grooming School wherein they get trained by the best names in the fashion and glamour Industry.

Nritya Natraj is a Classical/Semi-Classical Solo Dance Competition in which participants can perform dance styles such as Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, Mohiniattam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Sattriya, Semi classical dance style and their variations.
Type of event: Solo
Team Size: 01
-o- A maximum of 6 minutes performance time is provided including setup and clearance. A warning indication shall be given on the completion of 5 minutes. Your time starts counting as soon as you step on the stage, even though for arranging props.
-o- Participants are allowed to perform either on pre-recorded music tracks or live music. Participants are required to get their tracks in 2 pen drives (carrying tracks in mobile phones, laptops and any other electronic gadgets shall not be permitted). In case of live music, they are required to arrange their own music instrument.
-o- Vulgarity or provocative acts will not be tolerated.
-o- Teams using props if any must bring their own props and shall be responsible for arrangement and clearance of props within the given time. The organizers must not be asked for any help for the same.
-o- The organizers hold the right to interrupt or drop your performance any time, regardless of the time limit, on the basis of indecent track, dance steps, costumes, misuse of props, etc.

Dancing Soul: Solo Dance Competition
"Most people can dance, or at least crack a move or two at parties. But being a dancer and making up your own moves is truly a skill".
Type of event: Solo
Team Size: 1
Dancing Soul is a solo dancing competition in which participants need to display their dancing soul which touches every soul watching them! Any dance form except classical, semi-classical & folk dance be performed. Some of the dance forms that can be performed are Hip-Hop, Break dance, Jazz, Jive, Tap dance, Robot, Locking, Popping, Rock& Roll, Ballet, Contemporary, all International Dance Forms and their variations. Contestants may perform International - non-folk Dance forms as well.
There shall be two Rounds in this competition.
Round 1: Eliminator (This round shall decide the top 5 finalist of the competition)
Round 2: Finale

Just DU-ET : Free Style Duet Dance Competition
"Dancing is just a conversation between two people"
If you think you are a duet dancing team, who can entice the onlookers with their co-ordination and compatibility while dancing, then hang on to your chemistry because it could lead you to this grand title.
Type of event: Duet
Team Size: 2 (Both Male/ Both Female / One Male & One Female)
Just Duet is a couple dance competition in which a pair expresses themselves through a dance form. Under Free Style category, contestants can perform any western style dances such as Hip-Hop, Break Dance, Jazz, Jive, Tap Dance, Robot, Locking, Popping, Rock'n'roll, Ballet, Contemporary, Lindy Hop, Salsa, Mambo, Palo, Rumba, Paso Doble, Samba, Tango or Bollywood Style or Contemporary Dances or Indo-Western.
There shall be two Rounds in this competition.
Round 1: Eliminator (This round shall decide the top 5 finalist of the competition)
Round 2: Finale

Virasat - Indian Folk Dance
India, being a country with diverse cultures, has a very rich variety of different dance forms. This competition gives you the perfect occasion to unveil the different folk cultures of India through Dance. India has a very rich tradition of folk dance. The extreme cultural diversity creates endless varieties of folk styles. Each region has its own particular style. Bring your folk style on the stage in Indian folk dance competition.
Virasat is a folk dance competition in which the participants may perform any Indian folk dance such as Rajasthani, Bihu, Dandia, Garbha, Raas Leela, Nautanki, Ghumar, Kaal Belia, Kashmiri, Bhangra, Malwai giddha, Jhoomer, Giddha, Kikli, Luddi etc.
Type of event: Group
Team Size: 08-16 (+ 3 accompanists)
NOTE: Students from a particular state are free to perform the dance of any state of India. International students are also free to be part of the competition.

DOWN THE STREET: The Street Dance Competition
"If you are bored or feeling weighed down by the pressure of life, just dance with passion and watch everything fall in place."
Street dance is a blend of that passion which is interesting and refreshing. Street dancers are proactive and best at engrossing the crowd. It should be a mix of styles like Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, Breaking etc and routines should not be dominated by any one of these styles.
Dancers are not restricted from performing any move or style but it is their own responsibility to ensure that they do not perform dangerous moves that could injure themselves or others.

Team Size: 05 - 08
There shall be three rounds in the competition:
^On Stage Performance
^Battle it out (One team v/s another)
^The Final Frontier
Note: All the three rounds shall be conducted on the same day.
-o- There shall be three rounds in the competition:
Round 1: On Stage Performance: Performance by individual teams from a minimum of 3 minutes to a maximum of 5 minutes. The teams have to come up with their own tracks.
Round 2: Battle it out (One team v/s another): One team shall battle with another team in a random sequence taken out by lucky draw. The battle shall be of 6 minutes. The music track to be played in this round is at the discretion of the organizers.
Round 3: The Final Frontier: Top 3-4 best teams shall battle it out for the grand title. The battle shall be of 20 minutes without any pre-allocated sequence of performance i.e all the teams may perform at the same time or in sequence or in battle form.

Foot Loose is a free style group dance competition where in a group of movers-n-shakers set the stage on fire through their dance and moves. If you have that perfect team embedded with this passion, then the much anticipated chance of your lifetime is here. Participants may perform any Western dance forms such as Bollywood Style, B-Boying, Hip-Hop, Break dance, Jump Style, Jazz, Ballet, Indo-western, etc. or a combination of different dance forms. FOLK DANCES ARE NOT PERMITTED UNDER THIS COMPETITION.

The Dancing Messenger: Choreography Competition
What do you do, when you know words will never be enough to express the emotions or the message you want to convey?
Dance, yes dance and only dance!
Dance has a way of speaking through moments of bringing up emotions and eventually pouring it out in the open. Here we need teams that can express the entire message through their expressions, gestures, hand movements and footwork, in short, through choreography.
Dancing Messenger is choreography competition in which the dance groups are required to showcase a story or a theme through their costume, props, dance, formation and choreography. The teams have a choice to choose their own theme; however some examples may be women exploitation, environmental issues, wildlife protection, India's freedom, India now and then, Cricket and the rest of games, International Issues, Global Terrorism etc. Any dance form or a mixture of many dance forms is permitted.

Folkingham: International Group Dance Competition
"It is with your feet that you move, but it is with your heart that you dance, and when it comes to folk, everybody dances by heart."
The competition invites all students to flash different International Folk Dance forms on stage. Participants may perform any International (non-Indian) folk dance.
Dance forms like Dragon dance, Morris dance, Finnish tango, Scottish highland dance, Paso Doble etc.
Dance is a language which has no horizons. Folkingham is an International Group dance Competition. The language of the tracks should be International (non-English) such as Nepalese, Bhutanese, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nigerian, Russian, Canadian, Chinese, or any other non-Indian / non-English language.

Team Size: 4-12
NOTE: This event is for International Fraternity but Indian Students are also free to be a part of this event by performing International Folk Dances.

NOTE: RULES, REGULATIONS & TIME LIMIT SHALL STAND SAME FOR BOTH ROUNDS.
-o- A participant will be given 5 minutes in total including set up and clearance in each of the round to perform since their name is announced. There will be a warning indication after the completion of 4 minutes of performance.
-o- Basic orchestra support shall be available. However, the contestants are free to arrange their own karaoke or live music. Please carry it in 2 Pen Drives only.
-o- The lyrics must not be provocative or vulgar and any attempt of provoking the mass will not be tolerated and in this case, the participant shall be disqualified.

A skit is a theatrical sketch, or you can say a comic dramatic performance. Bertolt Brecht Says, "From the start it has been the theatre's business to entertain people". It needs no other passport than fun. Kal, aaj aur kal is a skit play competition in which contestants are required to depict a story or a theme with their play.

Chaupal is a street play competition in which various teams presents a street play in a confined area focused on a theme usually "social" such as women exploitation, child labour, domestic violence, communalism, regionalism and various similar issues.

-o- The main language may be either Hindi or English or a combination of the two. Use of regional languages is allowed but must be reduced to a minimum.
-o- The script can be original or an adaptation.
-o- A maximum of 15 minutes shall be given including setup and clearance. Teams exceeding time limit shall be penalized. A warning indication shall be given on the completion of 14 minutes. Your time starts counting as soon as you step on the stage, even though for arranging props.

We could say that Youth Vibe 2016 promises to be a lot bigger and better and all that drivel, but that's not really what we want to tell you.
What we want to tell you is, come for it. If you've been to it once, you don't need to read this. If you haven't, give it a shot, and you won't forget it.

Youth Vibe Maha Quiz is a general quiz. As the name suggests; general quiz is usually and shall be beyond the horizon. However, the major emphasis shall be on current affairs & happenings, general knowledge & things that you usually observe around yourself.
-o- There will be two rounds in this competition:
^Written Prelims (eliminator)
^Mains (Finale)
-o- This is a group event and their must be 2-3 members in each team in each of the rounds.
-o- Top 6 teams from the prelims shall qualify to the main round depending upon the scores in the prelims. In case of tie in the prelims, the qualifying team shall be decided on the basis of maximum correctly answered *marked questions in the prelims.
-o- There shall be 15-25 questions in the prelims each carrying 1 mark. There shall be some specific 3-8 *marked questions. There shall be no negative marking for unanswered questions or incorrect answers. Decision in case of incomplete or partially correct answers or spelling mistakes in answers shall lie at the discretion of the quiz master.
-o- In case the qualifying team is not present at the time of announcement of prelims results, privilege shall be given to the next team depending on the score and availability. It is therefore mandatory for the all teams to be present at the specified time and venue for the announcements of prelims results.
-o- The details of various rounds and their marking scheme of the mains, shall be announced before the start of the mains.
-o- The quiz master shall be the only person responsible and decider of the question that can be placed under this quiz. No one else can claim against the domain of the question asked under this category.
-o- The decision of the quiz master shall be final and bounding under all circumstances in all rounds.
-o- Carrying reading/writing materials, cell phones, tablets, etc. at the venue of the prelims or mains while attending it shall lead to disqualification of the team.
-o- Any attempt of the questions answered by your friends/ your college mates or any other resource person during the mains by shouting the answers out, may lead to losing points/losing that particular question or even to disqualification of the team.

Adjineers, the advertisement making competition, is a great platform for showcasing that creative zing in you. This year, (like every year) Ad making, is where you make ads for products to have your target audience in splits going to crack the success.

Director's cut is a short film making competition in which a group of students are required to make an entertainment or fiction based feature film not exceeding duration of 15 minutes.

Real to reel is a documentary making competition in which a group of students are required to make a non-entertainment, non-fictitious documentary not exceeding 15 minutes with an objective to depict some theme, a story or an inspiration.

If a team loses two wickets before the over is complete, it loses the game. If this does not happen, the team with the higher score from its over wins it. In case there is a tie after the mini-match as well, the team that has higher number of sixes in its full innings, or in the One1, will be declared the winner. If, by any chance, there is still a tie, the winning team is the one with the higher number of fours in both innings.

-o- The game shall consist of four periods of ten minutes.
-o- There shall be intervals of play of two minutes between the first and second period (first half), between the third and fourth period and before each extra period.
-o- There shall be a half-time interval of play of five minutes.

CONDUCT:
-o- Participants must know the "Official Volleyball Rules" and abide by them.
-o- Participants must accept referees' decisions with sportsmanlike conduct, without disputing them.
-o- In case of doubt, clarification may be requested only through the game captain.
-o- Participants must refrain from actions or attitudes aimed at influencing the decisions of the referees or covering up faults committed by their Team.
FAIR PLAY
-o- Participants must behave respectfully and courteously in the spirit of fair play, not only towards the referees, but also towards other Officials, opponents, team-mates and spectators.
-o- If found guilty of actions which are unsportsmanlike then action will be taken according to the gravity of the situation which may range from a mere warning to expulsion from the game.
-o- The decision of the referee is final and he/she will take into consideration the judgment of the linesmen.
-o- All the above rules are subjected to change under certain unavoidable circumstances. This may be carried out by the coordinators (volleyball), event executive (volleyball), or head events.
-o- Rules are on the same lines of FIVB and Decision of the referees is final.

-o- More than one match can be scheduled for a team on a particular day.
-o- All teams must bring their own kits. No Kits shall be provided by the organizers.
-o- Teams are requested to report the ground 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
-o- Walkover will be given to a team if the opponent team is not able to reach the ground within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
-o- No team shall argue with Referee/ umpires in any case as it would lead to cancellation of team registration and no refunds will be given. It could also attract proper disciplinary actions against the team.

-o- A maximum of two players can register for the men's and women's teams respectively.
-o- Each team match consists of five individual matches: 3 singles & two doubles and shall end when one team has won a majority of the possible individual matches.
-o- Firstly, three single matches shall be played followed by double matches.
-o- Each of the team captains shall nominate their players as 1, 2 & 3.
-o- The captain of the teams shall decide the team combination, however all three players must be involved in either of two matches.
-o- The referee shall have power to disqualify a player from a match, a team match, an event or a competition for seriously unfair or offensive behavior.
-o- If a player is disqualified from 2 matches of the team event, he or she shall automatically be disqualified from that team event.
-o- The team will lose that match by forfeit (the team match by 2-0, each match by 2-0 and each game by 11-0). The opposing team will advance to the next round.
-o- Any markings or trimming on the front or side of a playing garment and any objects such as jewelry worn by a player shall not be so conspicuous or brightly reflecting as to unsighted an opponent.

-o- If a player from Team A wins against a player from Team B, then he gets 10 point for his team and if they end in a draw, both the players get 5 points for their team, to be added into the round points of the team.

-o- It is a team event and each team can have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants.
-o- Each team will be given a case 5 days before the date of the competition.

-o- The teams have to make a power point presentation to give a solution for the problem given in the case.
-o- The time given to each team will be as following: (this is the maximum time limit)
2 minutes for setup and preparation.
6 minutes for uninterrupted presentation.
5 minutes for intensive question and answer from judges.
2 minutes for uninterrupted conclusion.
-o- Teams need to bring their power point presentations in pen drives/CDs and they should also carry a backup of the same. It should be kept in mind that the organizers will not be responsible for any problem arising at the last moment.

There will be two rounds in this competition:
-o- Written Prelims (Eliminator)
-o- Mains (Finale)
-o- This is a group event and their must be three members in each team in each of the rounds.
-o- Top 6 teams from the prelims shall qualify to the main round depending upon the scores in the prelims. In case of tie in the prelims, the qualifying team shall be decided on the basis of maximum correctly answered *marked questions in the prelims.
-o- There shall be 15-25 questions in the prelims each carrying 1 mark. There shall be some specific 3-8 *marked questions. There shall be no negative marking for unanswered questions or incorrect answers. Decision in case of incomplete or partially correct answers or spelling mistakes in answers shall lie at the discretion of the quiz master.
-o- In case the qualifying team is not present at the time of announcement of prelims results, privilege shall be given to the next team depending on the score and availability. It is therefore mandatory for the all teams to be present at the specified time and venue for the announcements of prelims results.
-o- The details of various rounds and their marking scheme of the mains, shall be announced before the start of the mains.
-o- The quiz master shall be the only person responsible and decider of the question that can be placed under this quiz. No one else can claim against the domain of the question asked under this category.
-o- The decision of the quiz master shall be final and bounding under all circumstances in all rounds.
-o- Carrying reading/writing materials, cell phones, tablets, etc. at the venue of the prelims or mains while attending it shall lead to disqualification of the team.
-o- Any attempt of the questions answered by your friends/ your college mates or any other resource person during the mains by shouting the answers out, may lead to losing points/losing that particular question or even to disqualification of the team

-o- The questions can be related to the content, information sources or any relevant issue in context of your presentation.
-o- A satisfactory question handling will fetch you points and not answering (or irrelevant/non-satisfactory response) can fetch you negatives also.
