This great Carnival, an amalgamation of technology and fun is on its way kicking off on 27th October. You will have it all at your choice, be it riddles of technology or subtlety of unmatched creativity. It doesn’t depend on what taste you want to test because we are ready to serve you the concoction of the best. Youth Vibe 2015 will be a Roller Coaster ride from resonant argumentative debates to the sweet melodious solo performances, from hard core rock shows to vigorous cricket matches, from moves of a dancer to buzzer of a quizzer, from innovative pi-copter to intelligently planned business strategies, from the angle of a photographer to expressions of an actor, from gala star night to global summit of social challenges, from classy autos of vintage era to fast and furious next generation sporty rides. All these fused with unrivaled aura of Science and Technology will amuse your nerves. Along with such overloaded bundles of joy, the vibrancy of Incredible India and the sensation of appetizing cuisines from land transcending oceans will make you feel much like a wonderland. So come and join us to bask together with this unlimited package of unflinching learning, fun and joy for 5 days.
GUIDELINES
GENERAL INFORMATION
• All the events shall be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations for every respective event published by the host University on the official website.
• The decision of the organizing committee will be abiding in case of any matter pertaining to the competition, change in Venue/Date/Time/Cash Prizes or any other unforeseen circumstances.
• The teams are requested to follow the schedule strictly and report to the venue at least half an hour before the commencement of the competition.
• Contestants are required to carry their recent identity cards duly signed by competent authorities of their respective Universities.
• Any indiscipline on the part of individual / member of contingent may lead to debarring/disqualification of that individual/ team.
• Any individual/team leaving the stage under protest shall be deemed to have lost the competition.
• In case of tie, cash prize shall be divided into the number of teams tied.
• There is no provision for refund.
• The events shall start at 10:00 AM in the morning. It is therefore advised to all the teams / individuals to report 30 minutes in advance to get settled with all the queries and arrangements regarding their event and participation
• In case you are not satisfied by the results due to genuine reasons, you may apply for review of the same by the Grievance Cell. For doing so, you need to submit a “REVIEW FEE” of Rs. 1000/- per event. Submit a hand written application with “REVIEW FEE RECEIPT” to the Organizing Secretary in Block 13-200.
***The Rules and Regulations regarding the competitions as stated on the website www.youthvibe.in or www.lpu.in/youthvibe may change at times due to unavoidable circumstances. It is therefore advised to all the contestants to check the rules & regulations frequently***
Fee /Caution Money/Accommodation charges /Messing
• Registration fee shall be charged event wise.
• The registration per individual per event is Rs. 100/- only.
• Accommodation shall be granted to all the participants of external Institutes. There shall be a nominal charge of Rs. 50/- per individual per day. The accommodation facility includes bed, mattress, pillow, blanket & bed cover.
• Participants can avail accommodation from 26th October 2015, 2:00 PM to 1st November 2015, 3:00 PM.
• To ensure safety of the belongings, participants are advised to bring their own locks.
• Food has to be managed by the contestants on their own from the enumerable stalls or hostel mess available in the campus.
In campus Facilities
LPU Campus in-houses all basic and advanced facilities desired by students. Some of the salient facilities are as follows:
• S B R M Hospital: LPU has its own hospital that has 50 beds with separate wards for male & female with dedicated set of qualified doctors, modern medical store, medical testing facilities, physiotherapy center & six dedicated ambulances in case of emergency.
• Banking, Postal & ATM Services: The campus has branches of 6 Banks in it with over 40+ ATMs inside the campus. It also in-houses a Post Office.
• Hostel Facilities: The campus has 7 Boys Hostels & 6 Girls Hostels, all with dedicated messes, food kiosks and departmental stores in it.
• Eating Joints: The Campus has over 200 food courts and kiosks. LPU also has franchise of famous brands such as CCD (Café Coffee Day), Dominos, Lovely Sweets, Kwality Walls & Golden Wok.
• Shopping Joints: LPU in houses a fully-fledged shopping mall in campus with outlets of famous brands such as Apple Store, Maybelline, Lakme, L'Oréal, Nevia, Classmate, DELL, HP, Sony, Acer, Moda Elementi, WH Smith etc.
• Fun & Fitness Centre: LPU has an in campus ultra-modern fitness centre named “Fitness Edge” spread over 15000 Sq. Ft with facilities such as Spa, Sauna Bath, Steam Bath, etc.
• WiFi Facility: The campus is fully WiFi enabled with a band width of 600 Mbps.
Cash Prize Policy (Valid for LPU Students)
The cash prizes shall be valid if & only if the following conditions are fulfilled:
For Solo / Duet Events
• Less than 5 Entries: No cash prize shall be awarded
• Certificate of merit shall be provided
• Fee shall be refunded
For Group Events
• Less than 3 Entries: No cash prize shall be awarded
• Certificate of merit shall be provided
• Fee shall be refunded
